Flynco served as the Construction Manager for the new Amy Sanders Library, a state-of-the-art facility recognized with an AIA Design Award. Situated on a 15-acre wooded hillside, the library features a cantilevered structure that creates the feeling of a treehouse, complete with suspended study rooms extending from the main reading area. Throughout the project, Flynco expertly handled all construction aspects—from value engineering and constructability reviews to subcontractor bidding, cost control, and schedule development—ensuring each phase met the City of Sherwood’s vision and standards.
The library’s steel frame is accentuated by native limestone and expansive glass window walls, blending contemporary design with the natural surroundings. Trails, an outdoor amphitheater-style classroom, and wildflower plantings integrate seamlessly into the landscape, reducing water consumption while enhancing the visitor experience. Thanks to Flynco’s careful coordination and commitment to excellence, the Amy Sanders Library was delivered on time, within budget, and with quality craftsmanship that stands as a testament to the company’s dedication to community-focused projects.
